We believe that evangelism and service go hand in hand; that is, we must act on what the word of God teaches while also teaching it to others. Alas de Amor is founded on this belief and informs our efforts to help the community of Palomas, Chihuahua.

scholarships

Students in the Alas de Amor program are provided money in order to pay for all of the costs involved with their school. This include tuition as well as money that they may need to spend for their classes.

Uniforms and supplies

Students are given tailor-made formal and sports uniforms, as well as footwear. Additionally, they are given a backpack filled with school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, crayons, paper, amongst other things.

college readiness

We are constantly working toward providing students and their families with a better understanding of the type of academic, professional and technical careers available to them. Our efforts include talks from industry professionals, personal guidance from our College Readiness Team, and advising for students that are already attending college and are still part of the program.

Field trips, carnivals, concerts

From time to time, we find ourselves with the resources and the time to treat all of our students to fun activities. In the past, we’ve taken our students on field trips to parks and thermal water pools. More recently, we’ve organized carnivals and concerts where we provide food, games and prizes so that kids can just be kids in the company of their families and friends.

Spiritual edification and character education

We believe this is the core of our program. Without God, nothing that we have done and plan to do is possible. All of our students are instructed in the word of God through various dynamic teachings that are age-appropriate and fun for our students. We also give attending parents specialized talks in regard to what the word of God has to say about parenting.
